Ashland hanging out in Immi’s room. He doesn’t seem threatened by the girly-ness, not that I expect him to, ever ![]()

Ashland’s sister spoils him all day. He is burried in toys because Immi keeps bringing him more.
Ashland snoosing at Powell’s Books a huge bookstore that has huge selection of practically new used books at discounted price. We are of course in the crafts section (there 2 aisles of those tall shelves just on crafts!)

Ashland and his sister.

I found that the sushi place very close to our place has a very good rating (for food being decent for very good price) so off we went. As it turns out, it was a Kaiten-Sushi (apparently “conveyer belt sushi” in english…). This is definitely Ashland and his sister’s first time at one of those and Immi is very excited.

And it’s really really cheap!! …and it’s really not bad!

Of course, only thing Ashland got to eat was his hand. He stared at us having dinner and chomped on his fingers the entire time…poor thing!

Ashland learned a new trick today!! He can now roll over from back to front (he’d been able to do front to back for a while now)! He seems to have suddently mastered this technique and now it’s difficult to dress him because he rolls around (it’s like trying to put a onsie on a bowling ball or something like that).
Ashland hanging out in the makeshift crib (box with one side flattened out since he got too long).

Ashland’s sister is feeding him chocolate.

Ashland is playing on the blanket. These toys were some of his sister’s first toys. Immi had a fancy playmat with toy attachments but she never really liked it much (and it was difficult to wash!) so Ashland gets only a regular blanket for playmat.

If a toy is within his reach, he’ll grab it and swing it about.

I had decided before Ashland was born that I wanted to give Ashland and Immi undivided attention individually everyday, even just for few minutes. This is easy enough to accomplish with Immi, but a bit of challenge with Ashland because Immi always wants to join! …at least Ashland doesn’t know what he is missing:D

Ashland was having tummy time. And then his sister joined him. He suddently got hungry and grumpy.

I think that I saw Ashland smile today!
Ashland is trying out the swing for the first time. His big sister is watching over him. He is tolerating the binky for now too (he doesn’t really like it much even though I keep offering it…).

We are home from the hospital and Ashland is settled into his very own crib. He doesn’t know it, but his sister is peeking in and talking to him.

Auntie Junko is visiting this weekend to meet her nephew!
